This week, we had the pleasure of gathering stakeholders from research, industry, advisory services and authorities for the very first SmartField Science Policy Practice Forum.
In SmartField, our mission is to secure practical, implementable solutions to mitigate N₂O emissions. That is why stakeholder engagement and input are essential. We want to ensure ongoing collaboration and knowledge transfer between researchers, companies, authorities, advisors and farmers.
Our goal is to develop and implement an advanced (Tier 3) system for accurate measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of nitrous oxide (N₂O) emissions from Danish agriculture – from field and farm level all the way to national level.
Morten Graversgaard, Associate Professor at the Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University says:
- One of the elements in SmartField is bringing stakeholders together in the Science Policy Practice Forum, where we can gain important input throughout the project. This week, we met to discuss the field trials, mitigation options and measurement infrastructure in SmartField.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, shared their knowledge and experience and asked insightful questions.
