Not with us.
Today we’re hosting upper secondary students from Randers Statsskole, who are spending a full day behind the scenes with some of our experts in agriculture and digitalisation, together with Sofie Andersson from Nordic Agri Research (NKJ). Together, we’re focusing on bringing technological knowledge out to young people.
The students join us in the field in SmartField, in the laboratories and in front of the screens, where they get an insight into how we actually work with agricultural technology, data collection and IT development. But for us, it’s about more than just a visit.
- We want to show young people that there is room for different disciplines, backgrounds and genders within technology and science,
says Nicolai Fog Hansen, Section Manager at the Danish Technological Institute.
He stresses the importance of inspiring them to drive development forward:
- The digitalisation of agriculture is an important part of the green transition. With data, we can optimise the use of resources, reduce waste and lower the climate footprint, while maintaining a competitive agricultural sector.
A big thank you to everyone for braving the cold, to the engaged students and Randers Statsskole for being curious and asking great questions, and to NKJ for supporting the visit. We look forward to hopefully seeing some of you again – perhaps as colleagues working on the agricultural and technology solutions of the future.
