Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a film crew from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to shoot footage and record interviews for an upcoming video and podcast episode about SmartField.
In the video, our Project Director, Ann Britt Værge, highlights the core ambition behind SmartField:
- In SmartField, we contribute with the most comprehensive datasets and model calculations to date on nitrous oxide emissions and the effect of different technologies on emissions. Our goal is for this to create the foundation for decision-making both politically as well as out with the individual farmer.
Our Scientific Director, Professor Klaus Butterbach-Bahl, shared his perspective for the podcast episode:
- This initiative contributes significantly to our understanding of and ability to reduce the agricultural carbon footprint. We expect to make substantial progress in quantifying nitrous oxide emissions across different scales from field to national level.
